It was one of the first big public appearances on such a spotlight for Kate as a long-term Prince William's girlfriend so she opted out for the safe outfit. Too safe I'd say. Her bespoke Katherine Hooker coat is way too long, her boots are flat and buggy, her hat was almost on her eyes. So it seemed like she was hiding under her outfit. Even though she managed look classy, stylish and fashionable.
No surprise after the Royal wedding she cut off her coat to a mini skirt length showing her young, playful and confident appearance. We also have seen similar design on her sister Pippa and Zara Tindall.
Kate's outfit:
- Fur hat (possibly by Really Wild)
- Katherine Hooker bespoke contrast coat
- Floral scarf in brown and blue
- Pearl earrings
- Gloves in matching suede shade
- Black turtleneck top
- Really Wild tweed skirt (the one she famously modeled)
- UFO brown suede hobo bag bought while shopping at the Spirit of Christmas festival in November 2005
- Russell & Bromley 'Soft touch' boots in chocolate suede
